Kalaw Trekking (Day Return)

Begin Trekking by walking with beautiful view of rice terraces in the valley surrounded by pine forest. Walk through pine forest along the way to Pa-O village. Along the way we meet with local people working hard in the fields of garlic and rice harvest. See amazing view of the highest mountain in the area with several villages at the bottom. Visit Pan Lone village of Pa-O Tribes of Mongolian origin women wears traditional costumes of indigo color dresses with bright red colored head scuff. We can learn about their interesting culture and traditions. Visit a family home and have tea together. Continue our journey for an hour to Sha-Pin village of Danu Tribes. Along the way we pass through thick pine forest with great views and visit a forest monastery. Have lunch cooked by our chef and have a rest for a while. Visit the village of Danu tribes at the top of the mountain with bird's eye view from there and continue trekking for 2.5 hours with the view of vast valley filled with rice terraces and small villages. Pick up by car to hotel and have rest.





Take a hour boat ride upstream river for nice scenery with the mountain, valley, fruit plantations along the river stop boat riding to take short trekking up the hill through fruit plantatoin for 45 minutes to visit old Tai (SHAN) monastery which is 150 yrs old, sitting alone in the forest.

Learn interesting thing at the monastery and return to the jetty, again boat ride to the river confluence at Which swimming is available on the individual wish. On the way back of boat ride, go visit to a SHAN village which has typical houses with a small charming garden.

3. KYAING TONG TREKKING (2 Days / 1 Night)




Day 01: Kyaing Tong trekking

After breakfast at hotel, full day in the countryside. Start with a visit to the Kat Tauk area and visit an Akha village. The Akha originate from Yunnan in southern China and live in south-east Shan State, on the borderlands of China, Laos and Thailand. They consist of rows of heavy silver baubles, interspersed with beads, which are sewn on a bamboo cap. Akha embroidery is extremely intricate and includes panels of diamond and geometric shapes. Late evening return to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kyaing Tong trekking

After breakfast at hotel trekking to an Ann village The Ann people live their life in relative isolation in quite simple circumstances. Most wear their traditional black costume and paint their teeth black. Continue to another Akha village, where every housewife still wears traditional clothing. Then to Pin Tauk Waterfall (approx. 10 minutes - also called the "young men's route") or enjoy picnic lunch at water fall. Then continue to visit Wan Pauk Palaung village that is traditional but very poor. Return to Kyaing Tong and overnight at hotel.
