DAY(01) YANGON ARRIVAL AND EVENING: VISIT SHWEDAGON PAGODA IF TIME PERMIT

Arrival Yangon by international flight. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Evening visit Shwedagon Pagoda rises 326ft (99.3m) above its base. Erected more than 2500 years ago and enshrining eight hairs of Buddha placed in a treasure chamber deep under its base. It is the highest symbol of the people's devotion to Buddha. Enjoy dinner at Karaweik Restaurant with Myanmar Culture Show. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

DAY(02) YANGON FULL DAY PRIVATE SIGHTSEEING (BY CAR)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, start highlight sightseeing in Yangon. Drive through the Colonial Style Buildings downtown, the Chinatown area and the Indian quarter. Enjoy your photo stop at Sule Pagoda and City Hall. Continue visit to Botathaung Pagoda close to the Yangon Wharves. There is a sort of mirrored maze inside the stupa, with glass showcases containing many of the ancient relics. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market(closed on every Mondays & Public Holidays) and it has the largest selection of Burmese handicrafts. Continue to the reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, is almost as large as the enormous figure in Bago Shwethalyaung. Then drive to Kandawgyi Park and take photo of Shwedagon Pagoda from Kandawgyi Park. Walk on the busy streets of downtown. In the evening the pavement turns into a night-market with a variety of goods on display. It is the opportunity to see “the real Yangon”. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

DAY(03) YANGON – BAGAN (AM FLIGHT) AND BAGAN FULL DAY PRIVATE SIGHTSEEING (BY CAR)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, transfer to the airport in order to leave for Bagan, on the banks of the Ayerwaddy River is home to the largest area of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world, many dating to the 11th and 12th century. The shape and construction of each building is highly significant in Buddhism with each component part taking on spiritual meaning. Visit Nyaung U local market in order to see how local people are selling their goods. Visit Shwezigon Pagoda, prototype of later Myanmar stupa & of the famous pagoda of Myanmar. Kyansithar Umin, long dimly lit corridors decorated with frescoes. Htilominlo Temple, 150ft high temple with fine plaster carvings, glazed sandstone decorations in the base. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Thatbyinnyu Temple, tallest in Bagan, Myinkaba Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with mural paintings, then to Manuha Temple which houses four immense Buddha images, Myinkaba lacquerware village to see the manufacturing stages.  View the sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner at Nandar Restaurant enjoying Myanmar puppet show.  Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

DAY(04) BAGAN FULL DAY PRIVATE TEMPLE TOUR (BY CAR)

Breakfast at hotel.  Start for highlight sightseeing in Bagan. Visit Min Nan Thu village and Paya Thonzu worth for seeing its 13th century mural painting, Dhammayazika Pagoda, pentagonal pagoda similar to Shwezigon with lovely views from its highest terrace and Law Ka Nanda Pagoda with lots of benches for wide open view of the Ayeyarwady River. Lunch at local restaurant.  Afternoon, visit Dhamayangyi Temple, huge brick red temple built by King Narathu, Sulamani Temple a beautiful majestic structure built by King Narapati Sithu. Enjoy Sand Band dinner enjoying sunset from Irrawaddy river. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

DAY(05) BAGAN – MT. POPA – BAGAN FULL DAY PRIVATE TOUR (BY CAR)

Breakfast at hotel.   Start for trip to Mt. Popa about 30 miles (50km) from Bagan. Popa Taung Kalut is 2417ft (737m) standing apart from higher forested mountain, looks like a tower. The mountain was shaped out of a volcano that may have erupted some 250000 years ago. The 25 minutes climb steep and stiff. It gets cooler as you get higher and views are fantastic. Enjoy Palm Tree lunch at Shwe Hlaing Village. Explore visit jaggery (palm sugar) production huts.  Drive back to Bagan. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

DAY(06) BAGAN – MANDALAY (AM FLIGHT) – MANDALAY – MINGUN – MANDALAY SIGHTSEEING (BY PRIVATE CAR)

Breakfast at hotel.  After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport in order to leave for Mandalay, the second largest city and the last royal capital of Burma, Drive to jetty. Take a boat trip about 1 hr to Mingune, located on the western bank of the Ayeyarwady River. Arrive Mingune, visit huge unfinished Mingun Pagoda built between 1790 and 1797 which was split by earthquake in 1838. It is possibly the world's largest pile of bricks.  World’s largest working bell of 87 tons cast in 1808 by Bodawpaya. Mya Thein Tan pagoda an image of Sulamani Pagoda at the peak of Mount Meru in Tavatimsa plane of nats. Back to Mandalay by boat. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Mahamuni Golden Buddha Image, bronze casting and marble stone cutting craftsmen quarters and gold leaf beaters.  Visit Mandalay Palace was built of teak wood on raised brick plinth gilded with gold and vermilion. The queens' chambers are laid out according to priority - 1 Southern, 2 Northern and 3 lesser queens in the West. Mandalay Palace took five years to construct, from 1857 to 1861.  Visit Ku Tho Daw Pagoda also known as world's largest book, surrounded by 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist scriptures. It was built by King Mindon in 1857, modeled on the Shwezigon Pagoda at Nyaung U. Proceed to Golden Palace Monastery, which was once part of the palace complex where King Mindon lived. Evening view the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

DAY(07) MANDALAY – AMARAPURA – SAGAING – DONATION LUNCH AT MONASTERY – AVA SIGHTSEEING (BY CAR)

Breakfast at hotel.  After breakfast, drive to Amarapura, capital before Mandalay for visiting silk weaving industry cottages. Morning visit Amarapura Mahagandayone monastery where over thousands of monks are dwelling. Proceed to U Bein Bridge, 1.6km long wooden bridge said to be the longest teak bridge in the world, built over 150 years. The bridge links Amarapura with an island in the middle of Lake Taungthaman, an intermittent body of water which dries up during winter. Arrive Sagaing visit Mya Set Kyar Monastery for donation lunch. Mya Set Kyar is home to several hundreds of monks. It is well-known as a centre for studying and strict religious discipline. In Sagaing visit Soon Oo Ponya Shin Pagoda, perched on the highest hill which offers panoramic views of the valleys and wide Ayeyarwady River. After visit to U Min Thonze (Hall of thirty Buddhas). If desired visit silver smith workshops in Yahtaung village. Continue to Inwa (Ava) by boat. Inwa was founded in 1364 and served as capital of Burmese Kingdom for nearly 400 years. Inwa’s finest attraction to visit is the teak Bagaya Monastery which dates from 1834. The 90ft high masonry watchtower Nan myin, the leaning tower of Inwa is all that remains of King Bagyidaw’s palace. Visit Maha Aungmye Bonzan also known as Me Nu Ok Kyaung, the brick structure built in 1818 is same style as common teak monasteries. Dinner at local restaurant in Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

DAY(08) MANDALAY – HEHO (AM FLIGHT) AND INLE LAKE FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING (BY PRIVATE BOAT)

Breakfast at hotel.  After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport in order to leave for Heho. Arrival Heho you are now in the Shan State. Agreeable climate 800 meter above sea level. Drive to Nyaung Shwe on the way photo stop of Shwe Yan Pyay old wooden monastery, pagoda and museum.  Take a short boat trip on Inle Lake to reach the hotel. Sightseeing by boat on the beautiful Inle Lake home to Inthar national race, many of whom live in stilted houses built over the water. Inle Lake is second largest lake in Myanmar, stretches 11 miles (17.7 km). On the boat trip you will visit the market places, floating villages and floating gardens, silk & lotus stem weaving. You can also see Inthar technique of leg-rowing where one leg is wrapped around the paddle to drive the boat and also their traditional way of fishing. Enjoy boat lunch on the lake.  Afternoon: visit the famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries on the lake to see ancient Buddha images. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel in Inle Lake.

DAY(09) INLE LAKE – INDEIN – INLE LAKE FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING (BY PRIVATE BOAT)

Breakfast at hotel.  After breakfast, explore one of the local 5-day markets, as we easily called, are well-known visit around the lake.  The markets are rotating among the villages in regular order - one village becomes the host of the market every 5th day.  By visiting 5-day markets, you will get insight into the life-style of the ethnic Pa-O, Danu and Intha inhabitants who came to these markets to sell their goods. The visit to such markets is thus subject to market day calendar and the location of the host village. Enjoy Bamboo picnic lunch at Indein. Take enjoyable boat ride through irrigation canals to Indein pagoda complex- an archaeological site worthy to visit where hundreds of Shan style ruined pagodas stand on slop of a hill. Some of the pagodas dated back to 17th and 18th centuries. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

DAY(10) INLE LAKE – HEHO – THANDWE  (AM FLIGHT) AND TRANSFER NGAPALI BEACH

Breakfast at hotel.  After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to the Heho airport in order to leave for Thandwe. You will be transferred to Ngapali Beach and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Ngapali Beach.

DAY(14) YANGON DEPARTURE
