yangon-41Day 01: Yangon sightseeing & Mandalay (by car & Express Night Bus)

Arrive at Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Minn Kyan Sitt Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Yangon sightseeing includes; . Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Kandawgyi Lake which is closed to the city center and is a good place for a walk. This lake is most attractive at sunset when the glittering Shwedagon is reflected in its calm water. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding  Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of ChinaTown including the short visit to TaoTemple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. In the evening transfer to Hi-way Bus Stop for Mandalay by Express Night Bus. Overnight in Bus.
pyinoolwin-01Day 02: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin (by car)

Early morning arrive at Mandalay and drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly known as Maymyo through beautiful twisting and turning road winding through road side villages <approx 2 ½ hour>. Maymyo is home to many ethnic tribe, famous for its climate weather, a popular hill station of the British during colonial days in Myanmar, impresses with its many churches, colonial buildings with gables, turrets etc. Horse-drawn carriages still play major role in transport means. Visit enchanting Maymyo market with multicolored flowers and vegetables and botanical garden of 432 acres "laid out by Sir Harcourt Butler, former Governor of Burma" to observe the conservation of diverse botanical species around the world. The first place for sightseeing starts with the pleasant picnic spot Peik Chin Myaung Cave, near Wetwun Village. Following up is Pwe Kauk Waterfall(8 km from the town.) The another highlight is National Kandawgyi Garden(about 50 acre in size containing , 4048 trees mostly pine varieties, 575 different floral species and many exotic fruits and flowers and Chenese Temple. Overnight at hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin.

hsipaw-02Day 03: Pyin Oo Lwin - Hsipaw  (by car)

After breakfast at hotel,  drive to Hsipaw <approx 2 ½ housr> twisting and turning drive through Shan mountains. Hsipaw was once the center of a small Shan state of its own with cool climate, friendly people and relaxed atmosphere. Upon arrival at Hsipaw transfer to local guesthouse.  And then visit Haw Sao Pha, a Shan Palace built in 1924 with charming European design. The Shan prince's niece and nephew take care of the palace and welcome foreign visitors. Continue visit the Shan-style Bawgyo Paya, the most revered paya in northern Shan State. Overnight in Hsipaw.

 
hsipaw-03Day 04: Hsipaw full day sightseing (by car & boat)

Breakfast and visit morning market with Shan and other tribal people from nearby villages usually come to trade. A beautiful boat ride along the Dottawadi river <approx 5 hour> to tribal village along the river. Take 1 hour boat ride upstream river for nice scenery with the mountain, valley, fruit plantations along the river. Stop boat riding to take short trekking up the hill through fruit plantation for 45 minutes to visit old Tai (SHAN) monastery which is 150 yrs old, sitting alone in the forest pass through the plantations of pineapple, papaya, orange which are widely grown along the way to the monastery. Learn interesting thing at the monastery and return to the jetty, again boat ride to the river confluence at which swimming is avaliable on the individual wish. On the way back of boad ride, go visit to a SHAN village which has typical hourses with a small charming garden. Overnight in Hsipaw.

gokteik-01Day 05: Hsipaw – Gokteik Viaduct - Mandalay (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Rail way station at 08:00 Am for an adventurous train journey to Naung Pein village. The trains pass over Gokteik Railway Viaduct. When the Pennsylvania Steel company built the viaduct a 300 meters deep gorge a century ago, it was the second highest bridge in the world. The view from the train is fascination and the scenery is beautiful. At Naung Pein our driver is waiting for you. And come back to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

 
mandalay-07Day 06: Mandalay - Amarapura (by car)

Early morning breakfast at hotel, excursion to Amarapura; visit Mahaganyon Monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study and visit to U Bein Bridge. There you can take a walk over the world’s longest teakwood bridges. Continue drive to Mandalay visit to Maha Myat Muni Pagoda. The legendary pagoda is home to one of Myanmar's most revered Buddha Images which have been covered with so many layers of gold leaf over the years that they now have an almost lumpy surface. While in Mandalay you will have the opportunity to visit serveral workshops and learn about the city's traditional industries, such as Kalaga Tapestry production and wood carving which have remained unchanged of centuries.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda, nicknamed the "World's Biggest Book" because of the 729 stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures, before heading to the Shwenandaw Monstery, the only building of the Royal Palace built in the 19th century still standing and it's famous for its exquisite wooden carvings. To round off your day of sightseeing you'll then take a 45 minute walk up the 900 stairs to the top of Mandalay Hill. In the evening transfer to airport for flight back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

yangon-22 Day 07: Yangon sightseeing & Departure   (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, shopping at Bogyoke (or) Scott Market a famous shopping center to enjoy display of Myanmar handicraft (Note: Market is closed on Mondays and Public Holidays). And proceed to visit Kaba Aye (World peace) Pagoda, it was also known as the " World Peace Pagoda" and Mahapasana Cave, where the sixth Buddhist synod took place. On the way visit to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda also known as Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Labamuni Buddha Image at Minn Dhamma Hill, there is an Elephant house where the three white elephants are kept. And then transfer to Yangon International Airprot for Departure.
