yangon-34Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing  (by car)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Minn Kyan Sitt Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Yangon sightseeing includes; . Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Kandawgyi Lake which is closed to the city center and is a good place for a walk. This lake is most attractive at sunset when the glittering Shwedagon is reflected in its calm water. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding  Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of ChinaTown including the short visit to TaoTemple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

bagan-14Day 02: Yangon – Bagan (by flight & car)

Early morning breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Arrive at Bagan and check in to hotel.From the 11th to 13th centuries, when Bagan was the capital of Myanmar, the rulers constructed thousands of huge stupas and temples many of which are still standing today on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Your journey begins with a visit an elevated temple from where you will have a panoramic view of the magnificent plains of Bagan. Continue visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Wet Gyi Inn Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes. In the afternoon begin with a visit to a traditional lacquer ware where you can observe the production of one of Myanmar's best-known handicrafts. Continue to Ananda Temple and architectural masterpiece of the early- style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

popa-02Day 03: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Sale - Bagan  (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, start excursion to Mt. Popa by car; a slight trip from Bagan experiencing amid lovely hill and forest sceneries and it is a steep-sided volcanic peak dedicated to the legendary "Nat" spirits of Myanmar and just 48 kilometers from Bagan. Visit proceeds to Kyauk Padaung and associated areas to see village life and continue to Sale, it is a small town about 55 km south of Bagan,down the Ayeyarwaddy River.Worth a visit is Yoke Sone Monastery with its exceptional woodcarvings on the outside of the building. Continue to a number of other old monasteries and splendid colonial style houses. Return back to Bagan. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

mandalay-15Day 04: Bagan – Mandalay (by Express Cruise & car)

Early morning breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty. A whole day boat trip to Mandalay, while you can riding the activities on the mightly Ayeyarwaddy River, you will arrive in Mandalay on late afternoon. Check in and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

 
mandalay-14Day 05: Mandalay – Amarapura (by car)

Morning breakfast at hotel, excursion to Amarapura; visit Mahaganyon Monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study and visit to U Bein Bridge. There you can take a walk over the world’s longest teakwood bridges. Continue drive to Mandalay visit to Maha Myat Muni Pagoda. The legendary pagoda is home to one of Myanmar's most revered Buddha Images which have been covered with so many layers of gold leaf over the years that they now have an almost lumpy surface. While in Mandalay you will have the opportunity to visit serveral workshops and learn about the city's traditional industries, such as Kalaga Tapestry production and wood carving which have remained unchanged of centuries. You'll also have the chance to make your own marionette (small puppet) at a local shop. You can choose the marionette's face, body and clothes to create your own unique souvenir.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda, nicknamed the "World's Biggest Book" because of the 729 stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures, before heading to the Shwenandaw Monstery, the only building of the Royal Palace built in the 19th century still standing and it's famous for its exquisite wooden carvings. To round off your day of sightseeing you'll then take a 45 minute walk up the 900 stairs to the top of Mandalay Hill as the sun begins to set – a walk commonly made by locals who often make a pilgrimage to the peak. By the time you reach the summit the sun will be putting on a show as it dips down behind the city-Mother Nature giving you a breathtaking moment to savor forever. Once the sun has dipped down beyound the horizon. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

mingun-04Day 06: Mandalay – Mingun – Sagaing – Ava (Innwa) (by car, boat & horse cart)

After breakfast at hotel, depart from Mandalay on a private boat along the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village on the west bank of the river. Visit in Mingun Pathotawgyi, the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell,Myatheintan Pagoda and surrounding villages.
Proceed to capitals of Sagaing, Ava. Firstly you'll cross the Ayeyarwaddy River to Sagaing; known as the religious center of Myanmar in the northwest of the country bordering India. Sagaing is home to over 3000 monks and 600 pagodas and you'll have the opportunity to meet some of these monks as you visit eminent pagodas like U Min Thone Sae and Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin. While in Sagaing you'll have the chance to spend time at a typical Burmese market, selling a range of goods including local handicrafts. You'll also stop at a pottery village to see the process of water pots being hand-crafted by expert tradesmen. After Sagaing you'll continue by private vehicle on to Ava, a former capital of the Burmese Kingdom from 1364 to 1841. Your Backyard Travel guide will then take you on a leisurely tour of the quaint streets by local horse cart, allowing you to experience everyday life in the countryside as you visit the old wooden Bagaya Monastery and the remains of the Royal Palace and Fort. In the evening return to Mandalay and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

kalaw-02 Day 07: Mandalay – Heho – Kalaw (Trekking)  (by flight, car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Arrive Heho and will head to Magwe village, situated on the banks of Ayeyarwaddy River. From here you will take a leisurely walk to a beautiful elephant camp. In the camp you'll have the opportunity to meet the majestic elephants and lend a hand feeding them. Then you'll climb aboard one of the enormous animals for a 30 minutes jungle trek. You'll also have the chance to watch the mahouts (elephant handlers) bathe the elephants in the river. After your close encounter with the giant pachyderms, a delicious lunch will be served in the main camp. Should you wish, you are also welcome to assist the camp in their quest to sustain the forest and eco system by planning a tree. Fully sated from lunch, you'll have the evening to spend at your leisure. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.

pindaya-03 Day 08: Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Kalaw sightseeing; then proceed to Pindaya sightseeing, 48 km north of Kalaw, to visit Pindaya Lake and Pindaya cave, well-known for its countless Buddha images. Enjoy also the great scenic beauty of the countryside along the road to Pindaya through picturesque landscapes. Visit bamboo- umbrella domestic workshop as well. In the evening proceed to Inle Lake / Nyaung Shwe . Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake / Nyaung Shwe.

 
inle-10 Day 09: Inle Lake full day sightseeing (by boat)

Afreakfast at hotel, proceed to Inle Lake you'll venture out to explore Inle Lake with your private motorboat, passing floating garden houses built on stilts inhabited by the local Intha People, and the famous "Leg-Rowing" fishermen who make their living from the lake's plentiful supply of fish. Along the way you can visit a floating tomoato garden – a unique site. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake's main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha Images covered in gold feaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Continue to the famous Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, so called "jumping cat's monastery" famed for its collection of ancient Buddha effigies collected from the lake and surrounding regions. Photograph the long neck family on the way back (Padaung Women). Overnight at hotel in Nyaung Shwe or Inle Lake.

kyaing-tong-05 Day 10: Inle Lake /Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Kyaing Tong (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for flight to the Kyaing Tong. Arrival in Kyaing Tong, starts with the Maha Myat Muni pagoda, housing Mandalay style Buddha image. Proceed to Shan Tourists who are fond of lacquer ware can purchase desirable lacquer ware of high quality. Then, visit image (the place where Kyaing Tong was founded about one thousand year ago) , Hot spa, Akha R.C.M church. Sunset on the lone tree Hill where a lone, 245 years old Kanyin byu and come back village “Yan Gone” to observe the handicraft eastern pots of Shan Tribe. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaing Tong.

 
kyaing-tong-02Day 11: Kyaing Tong Sightseeing  (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, take the car about 45 minutes for a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. Lush forest with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanket. Visit the village Enn tribes. Some are haptized, some tribes still animists. The Enn are an ethnic group which tourist particularly interesting labeling them the “Blank Teeth”. The walk is not difficult and can be done slow the higher slopes. They have distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes. It will take hours to visit the villages.Take lunch at Pin Tauk water-fall. After that, proceed to Wang Kang village and we could see the traditional liquor production and then if we have time, we can start to Wan Ha village to see the Tiles production but we could see in November to April. Late afternoon, come back to the hotel and overnight in Kyaing Tong.

akha Day 12: Akha – Lahu – Palaung (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive approx. 45 min to Kong Ma (Akha) village, there is hiking 3 hours to Lahu Shi (KWI)villages. Black Lahu and Red Lahu are the Trekking through forests. Valleys and gorges is very fascinating. After, you come back from Lahushi then start to Wan Pauk (Palaung) tribe are Silver (Palaungs.) A branch of the same tribe, locally called Gold Palung lives in Northern Shan State. After that, return back to Hotel in Kyaing Tong.

 
kyaing-tong-04Day 13: Kyaing Tong - Yangon (by car & flight)

After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to central market which bustles daily from 6:00 to 11:00 am  and transfer to the Kyaing Tong Domestic Airport for Yangon trip. And arrive in Yangon and take relax. Overnight hotel in Yangon.

 
yangon-03 Day 14: Yangon sightseeing & Departure   (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, shopping at Bogyoke (or) Scott Market a famous shopping center to enjoy display of Myanmar handicraft (Note: Market is closed on Mondays and Public Holidays). And proceed to visit Kaba Aye (World peace) Pagoda, it was also known as the " World Peace Pagoda" and Mahapasana Cave, where the sixth Buddhist synod took place. On the way visit to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda also known as Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Labamuni Buddha Image at Minn Dhamma Hill, there is an Elephant house where the three white elephants are kept. And then transfer to Yangon International Airprot for Departure.
